Which clubs meet on a Thursday? In Brackwede the Brackweder Schachklub plays in a parish hall after an hour of youth training, and in Herzebrock-Clarholz training starts at eight in the evening at the Hotel Reckord. In Barntrup the Lipper Bergland club has the young players first and the adults after them, and in Schnathorst, a village of Hüllhorst, the Springer club runs an open board-game evening for young and old, free and without registration, after its own youth hour.

Several clubs keep Thursday for their juniors only: Rheda trains its youth that day, Kirchlengern holds its youth evening, and TV Verl trains its young players at the Bonhoefferschule outside the school holidays.
